Holiday funding boost for youngsters
The Ross County Foundation is delighted to receive grant funding of £5,000 from the Ryvoan Trust to create additional holiday programme spaces for children living in poverty across 2023.
With foundation holiday programmes taking place right across the Highlands we will be able to, with this funding, generate further spaces for children who otherwise may not be able to attend due to cost.
The Ross County Foundation will liaise with government bodies, agencies and other charitable organisations to identify the families and young people we can support with these additional spaces.
This funding will see spaces created on programmes in the Easter, Summer and October holidays in 2023.
On the grant funding, Foundation Manager, Dale Pryde-MacDonald said, “We are extremely grateful to the Ryvoan Trust for making this funding available and enabling us to support more young people and families during these hard economic times.”
“There is no underestimating the effects that the cost-of-living crisis is having and will have in the next year so to be able to give young people the chance to come and be with us during holidays and engage with friends and peers is so important.”
