We have now reached week 9 of our latest Walking Football group in partnership with Age Scotland & NHS Highland in Dingwall, however we still have another 3 weeks to go!
Walking football is a variant of traditional football aimed at keeping people aged 50+ involved with the sport if, due to a lack of mobility or for other reason, they are not able to play the traditional game. The sport can be played both indoors and outdoors.
Although it might not sound too energetic, Walking Football is an action packed game of football – just with no running or slide tackles. If you run, you concede a free kick to the other side!
Walking Football is a great way to stay involved with the sport. The initiative is a fun, social & friendly approach to the game & is suitable for anyone who cannot manage the impact of a standard game, but still has the drive to stay fit & healthy through football.
